Being a firefighter, EMS provider, police officer is inherently dangerous. There is always potential risk on every call. This is why it is extremely heartbreaking when we lose a first responder. While providing mutual aid this evening to Prince George's County at a structure fire, a Montgomery County Career Firefighter tragically passed away during fire fighting operations. Please keep the Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service in your thoughts and prayers. Our sincerest prayers for their family, friends, and shift mates.
